What Are Search Engines?
A search engine is a database system designed to index and categorize internet addresses, otherwise known as URLs (for example, http://www.submittoday.com).
There are four basic types of search engines:

What Are Search Engines?

A search engine is a database system designed to index and categorize internet addresses, otherwise known as URLs (for example, http://www.submittoday.com).

There are four basic types of search engines:

Automatic: These search engines are based on information that is collected, sorted and analyzed by software programs, commonly referred to as “robots”, “spiders”, or “crawlers”. These spiders crawl through web pages collecting information which is then analyzed and categorized into an “index”. When you conduct a search using one of these search engines, you are really searching the index. The results of the search will depend on the contents of that index and its relevancy to your query.

Directories: A directory is a searchable subject guide of Web sites that have been reviewed and compiled by human editors. These editors decide which sites to list, and, in which categories.

FDA confirms some antidepressants increase suicide risk in some children. In February of 2004, two advisory committees of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommended that the FDA warn practitioners about the possible risk of suicide potential associated with antidepressant treatment in children. The information was obtained from clinical trials of medications with children, expert witnesses on suicide research, testimony from families of suicide victims, as well as from those whose children had benefited from antidepressant medication.

At a second meeting last year, improvement on antidepressant study designs and monitoring for suicide risk was discussed. Now, federal officials are preparing stronger warnings giving some antidepressants to children after new analyses back a suspected link to suicidal thoughts and behavior. FDA and Columbia University psychiatric specialists have re-evaluated 25 studies involving more than 4,000 young people and eight antidepressants. When all the results were lumped together, young antidepressant users were about 1.8% times more likely to have suicidal thoughts or behaviors than patients given dummy pills. Risk varied widely from drug to drug and among studies of the same drug, but studies of Effexor showed particular risk.

A quality area rug for your home can be an expensive proposition. A fine Oriental rug, for instance, can easily set you back several thousand dollars. Rather than settling for a cheap alternative, you can find top quality rugs at discount prices if you shop carefully, both online and off. If you do, though, be sure to educate yourself as to the characteristics of the rug that you’re buying to avoid paying far too much for a cheap imitation rather than getting a genuine bargain on the real thing.

Research your subject - Whether you’re searching for a fine Oriental rug or a striking Mahdavi contemporary design, learn enough about the way the rug is made and its hallmarks to make sure that you get the genuine article. When shopping discount ads and online web sites, watch out for words like ‘just like’, ‘faux genuine’ and other tricky wordings to make you believe that you are paying a discount price for an expensive rug.

“Neuropathic” means nerve damage and refers to nerve pain. So far there’s very little that science can do about it. But it’s possible that your subconscious may be able to help you find some relief.

The two forms of neuropathic pain–peripheral and central–both occur when a nerve is damaged from injury or some other source. If the damage is in the periphery of your body, you feel pain from touch immediately. If it’s in the central nervous system, you only feel it after a delay of 20-30 seconds-and potentially the pain is more intense.

Peripheral Nerve Pain

Some major types of peripheral nerve pain include the following:

?	Postherpetic Neuralgia occurs after an outbreak of shingles has healed. Shingles damages the nerves, which then send unclear and overblown pain messages to the brain. The result can be aching, burning, or jabbing pain in the area of the former shingles infection.

Buying dog doors online

If you need to buy a dog door then have some fun doing it online. Not only will you find discount prices but you’ll have a huge selection of colors, designs, shapes, sizes and multiple features you haven’t even thought about. You’ll find designs that fit any wall or door with easy install instructions. Finding a dog door couldn’t be much easier than online.

To begin your shopping journey you’ll need to measure your doggie to determine the size you’ll need. Instructions to measuring are on most all sites along with even being able to call if you have additional questions.

Wouldn’t it be great if your dog could open doors? Well, generally speaking they can’t. Therefore freedom and convenience for you and for your dog is right at your finger tips and just a few days away. I don’t know if doggies can think but imagine how we’d feel if we had to ask permission every-time we needed to go potty! Ridiculous, but maybe our little best pet friends would also be happier with the independence that the dog door is going to provide?

On a recent Sunday evening, I watched a friend ‘graduate’ from a beginner’s class for stand-up comedians.

Needless to say, I saw many levels of competence and talent as the nine students gave their 10 minute ‘commencement speeches’ before an audience of perhaps 250, mostly friends and family.

Some, obviously, would never make it to prime time. Others have a good chance, given determination and patience. But, what’s striking is that they all got up on the stage and did their acts.

I know it takes courage to stand up on a stage and deliver a conventional speech, and it must take even more to deliver a comedy monologue, especially for the first time.

If you’ve itched to take the stage, but fear holds you back, perhaps their example will give you the extra push you need to take the plunge. The good news is that you can overcome that fear. And you overcome it with two things: knowledge and practice.

The idea of using affiliate programs is to produce extra income and in the process attain total financial freedom. More and more people from all over the world are looking for a real winner.

The problem is, affiliate programs are sprouting up all over the place and there’s just too many of them to keep up with. This makes the choice of the best one or ones to signup for a frustrating and time consuming process.

Before you signup for any affiliate program, I advise you to run through this check list:

1. Think about the product:

Is it a product that you would use regularly and freely recommend to your friends? Is it lower priced and more convenient to use than similar products/services available elsewhere? Finally, what about delivery. How much of a time interval is involved from when your customer orders until they receive the product/service?

Today, most of us have been involved in a team project, either as the leader or a contributor. The team concept, if structured properly, can be a very successful option for any company or organization. You’re able to pool a great variety of resources with various backgrounds and strengths to achieve a desired outcome. However, there also needs to be a proper foundation set in order for a team to function effectively and efficiently. So, in this month’s article I want to share my own key learnings and observations on how you can use the team concept to bring about success.

Okay, you’ve been "appointed" as the team/project leader, now what do you need to do to lead your team to success. Here are important steps to take to move along the path to achievement and success:

1. Develop a team vision and clearly define roles

Hello,

How is your day coming along? Better, I am sure, than that particular day the crew of the Apollo 13 had as they were on their way home to planet earth.

The return flight of Apollo 13 will forever be one of the most momentous flights ever recorded in history. And what most people remember most vividly is the single remark: “Houston, we have a problem."

Now, life, and daily living in general, is a process, and an ongoing series of opportunities. Some of these opportunities are pure delight and pleasure and some are of a nature that calls for a different type of flexibility, resilience and persistence. The Apollo 13 crew faced a challenge that threatened their very physical existence on a level that would have defeated most human beings, because most human beings have never learned to master their emotions. What they have learned, instead, is to be led by their emotions, which is another way of saying being mastered by their emotions.

One of the most common mistakes made by inexperienced investors is trying to "catch a falling knife". This is the phrase used to describe the habit of buying stocks that are in "freefall", and is a poor strategy, albeit common among new investors. Sadly, it is a common practice even among old and experienced investors. I’ve even fallen prey to it myself.

Remember, there are two primary approaches to investing: fundamental analysis and technical analysis. We generally fall into the fundamental camp, since we evaluate stocks based upon their valuations, rather than looking primarily at their short-term price movements. We take this direction because we believe this provides the greatest potential for long-term success.

A single-minded view of only the fundamentals of an investment, however, can limit an investor’s profits and lead to some unpleasant positions. This is because there are real limitations to buying a stock as it falls. One may purchase a stock that appears to be a great value at $10, only to see it fall to $5. Surely, if the stock rises again to $20, you may have been "right" to buy at $10, but one might argue that you weren’t "right enough". Buying at 5 would have yielded a 300% return, while you settled for only 100%. Furthermore, if you were convinced that $10 is a reasonable price, you might have saved time by buying it on the way back up instead of on the way down.

FOREX, the term for the FOReign EXchange market, is an international exchange market where currencies from many different countries are bought and sold. Both long-term hedge investors and short-term investors that seek quick profits use FOREX. Trade reaches between 1 and 1.5 trillion US dollars per day. Needless to say, FOREX is a very lucrative market. Many wonder how to gain the most profits by trading with FOREX. There are a few simple trade practices that can help any trader, either an amateur or a professional make significant profit from FOREX.

The best traders firstly understand the intricacies of FOREX trading. In order to be successful, one must understand how FOREX works. FOREX transactions are not centered in an exchange, unlike the stock market. Many transactions can take place at different times all over the world. This is important to note if one is going to invest in FOREX. In order to trade, one must simply find a trader (there are many around the world, some can even be found online), decide the currency to purchase, sell currency, and make profit. However, if FOREX was this simple, everyone would do it. In reality, most people have to gamble with FOREX because no currency is completely stable, and there is always the risk for losing money.

Your business website is a critical aspect of being able to start and continue conversations with potential clients. It’s the ultimate self-service window for potential and current clients who come to you interested in your services and/or products.

Every service professional needs a web presence. It’s almost impossible to find a successful service professional who doesn’t have one. Here are the top 7 reasons why:

Your website positions you as an expert.
Perception is everything on the Internet. Having your own website increases your visibility, credibility and trust.

A strong web presence adds to your brand identity.
Your website represents you and your business in the marketplace.

Your website expands your reach into the global marketplace.
If you have a product available on your website you’ll expand your geographic marketplace from local neighborhoods where your product sits on a shelf, to the entire world via your website.

A website creates a 24/7, passive revenue, profit machine.
The Internet never sleeps which means that you can literally turn your computer and website into a cash register around the clock, and many, if not all, of the processes can be automated.

Your website instantly increases the effectiveness of your sales cycle.
The sales cycle is especially critical for service professionals. A website with an opt-in incentive allows you to build your database, while building rapport with prospective clients. By offering something of value, like a free report, e-course, or audio file, in exchange for an email address, your visitors begin to see your offer and your services as an investable opportunity.

Your site filters out clients who aren’t well suited to your services.
All of your marketing materials should direct potential clients to your website, where you can save precious time by allowing them to familiarize themselves with you and your services. This allows them to determine whether or not they feel they’d be well suited to you.

Your web presence is a fantastic vehicle for bold self-expression and learning.
The site is an extension and representation of who you are and what you offer. To get ahead of the curve as a service professional you will need to understand how to master the advantages of technology. And the best way to learn this is by expressing yourself through your website.

Creativity can be defined as problem identification and idea generation whilst innovation can be defined as idea selection, development and commercialisation. There are distinct processes that enhance problem identification and idea generation and, similarly, distinct processes that enhance idea selection, development and commercialisation. Whilst there is no sure fire route to commercial success, these processes improve the probability that good ideas will be generated and selected and that investment in developing and commercialising those ideas will not be wasted.

A number of idea selection methods can be used. For a comprehensive evaluation, it is advisable to use all methods. Considering the costs of Research and Development and the added cost of re-engineering products when flaws are discovered, it pays to conduct in-depth valuation before large investments in that idea are given a GO status.

To start your idea list, think about the things you used to do or still do together. Think about the “firsts” he added to your life; the first baseball game, the first boat ride, how he helped you get your balance on your first bike, how he showed you it was fun to play the piano, your first hunting or fishing trip. Make a list of the things he does now or things you’ve heard him talk about doing but has never done. Somewhere in this list is the perfect gift for the man who has been your Father all these years.

1. For the sailing dad, get him a hand carved scaled model of the winning sailing boat of the America’s cup to proudly display in his office or den.

Nearly every puppy in the world is born with roundworms. This is because the roundworm’s larvae are transmitted from the mother to the puppy while it is still in the womb. A female dog can harbor roundworms in her tissue, often making them immune to dewormings. The roundworms then have the opportunity to emerge during pregnancy through the mother’s bloodstream and infect the unborn puppies. Roundworms can also be transmitted to newborn puppies through the mother’s milk during nursing.

Roundworms are also easily transmitted to humans. Young children are most susceptible because they are always sticking their fingers in their mouths! Roundworms are transmitted to humans and dogs through eggs that are in a dog or puppy’s stool. They can either be ingested through direct eating of the stool or by eating something else that has eaten the stool (the dog eats a bird, mouse, etc. that has eaten the dog’s stool).

Everyone should wash their hands frequently after handling the puppy or dog and make sure that all feces is removed from the yard and disposed of on a daily basis. Most infections in people are mild and cause no symptoms at all. However there have been cases of worms migrating to the liver, brain, and eyes.

Symptoms of roundworms in humans include:

?	Anemia
?	Appetite Loss
?	Difficulty Breathing
?	Constipation
?	Cough
?	Cramping
?	Diarrhea
?	Fever
?	Hives
?	Itching
?	Nausea
?	Chest Pain
?	Muscle Pain
?	Passing of Worms
?	Rash
?	Skin Lesions
?	Swelling
?	Vision Disturbances
?	Vomiting
?	Weight Loss

Infected puppies can become quite ill and heavy infestations may lead to convulsions and even death. Most puppies that die are around the age of two to three weeks old. Puppies should be wormed at ages 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age. Adult dogs should receive yearly stool samples from their veterinarian to check for worms. Roundworms will look like spaghetti in the puppy’s feces.

Symptoms of roundworms in dogs include:

?	Potbelly
?	Diarrhea
?	Gas
?	Vomiting
?	Lack of Energy
?	Slow Growth Rate
?	Dull Coat
?	Coughing (if immature roundworms have migrated to the puppy’s lungs)

Some dogs may show some or all of these symptoms while others may show no symptoms at all. When adult roundworms are seen in the dog’s stool this is often because of ongoing disease in the bowel or sometimes because the worm burden had become so great that the worms are crowding each other out.

Treatment of roundworms is not dangerous and is highly effective. Buy your wormers from the vet and give them regularly as instructed. The tablets are not difficult to give if you train your dog to take them in tiny bits of cheese or put them into sweets. The best way to protect your family and dogs from roundworms is through a regular program of both medication and prevention (keeping the yard clean of feces).

There is a current movie entitled "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". It is about a man who has had a painful love affair and will do anything to rid his mind of those pain thoughts of a former love. He sees an advertisement that offers just such a service. It seems his former lover has the exact thoughts and she goes through the same treatment. Guess what? They meet again, do not recognize each other, and fall in love again.

Does any of this sound familiar?

May I gently remind you of what happened to your stock portfolio in 2000 to 2003? Please. Don’t shoot the messenger. You fell in love with the stocks or mutual funds in your 401K and became wildly emotional about all the money your were making and how you thought about buying one of those islands in the Bahamas for early retirement. Then came the road crunching detour and you are left with a broken down portfolio by the side of the road.

10. Understand all of the opportunities available to you. Don’t just assume that you can only work at the standard place of employment for your area of study. The key to finding a great career is to think outside of the box. Don’t get caught being narrow-minded when considering where to apply your skills and energy. Every firm needs accountants, project managers, sales people, etc.

9. Get to know a successful person. Your dad’s friend doesn’t count if he doesn’t know you. You must be able to find someone that has had decent success in any field and become their new friend. The tendency for those that are mentored to go much farther in their career is significant. You can take the world on all by yourself or you can benefit from the experience and wisdom of others. Mentors can make all the difference at every stage of your career.

8. Learn to sell yourself. You have a lot more to offer than you may think. Whether your history is full of experience or education, you are bringing unique qualities to a company. You must learn to express your skills in a succinct and convincing manner. It may feel like boasting at first, but your ability to sell yourself will help you tremendously.

7. Network in professional associations. If you really want to make an impression, meet people that already work in your industry. Volunteer with them for projects and get to know them. Building a relationship is the fastest way into a company. Learn what they do and what you should do to get ahead in the field or at a particular company. These people are there to make friends and network as well. Don’t be shy about your professional ambitions and you will get very far.

6. Network inside the company. If you want to ensure your role at a company then you need to get to know several people in the company. No matter what you may be applying for, you will be competing with others to make an impression with people. The fact is that people love to work with those that they trust and like. If you can make a good impression with multiple people inside a company, you have a built-in competitive advantage when deciding to hire you or another qualified candidate. Use professional organizations to meet company employees if you can. For the more direct route, try contacting a manager in the department you want to work in to meet and ask questions. If you are personable, you will probably not have any problems getting to know a few people inside a company.

5. Bring something to your job. Just like JFK said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” If you have done your homework, you know what the company is doing now, where it is going, and what issues that your department is facing or will have to deal with in the future. Talk about what you can do in the interview and with as many managers as you can. Sure you are going to be told what to do, but never underestimate the impact of taking on extra responsibility. You may not be applying for a management position, but this could help you get there.

4. Get your resume to the best people. There are several strategies for marketing yourself to the decision makers in a company. Whatever your method may be, it is crucial that you get your resume to the highest-ranking managers possible. If you can impress an executive with a great resume, you will find your path through the company door wide open. If an executive passes along your resume or just mentions that they received your resume to a hiring manager, you are going to get serious bonus points. The desire to please is prevalent at many larger companies, so any chance you can take advantage of to get your name dropped (or recognized) by top management is a great.

3. Do your homework. You have heard this all of your school career, but it is even more important in the your career search. You can easily blow a great job opportunity by not knowing enough information about the company. Be sure to read industry news and trends to have a better perspective on the challenges and opportunities the company is facing. Read the company’s website thoroughly. There is so much information readily available, including key personnel’s names, positions, and contact info. Take advantage of this information and any other knowledge you can attain from the multitude of sources available.

2. Hit the pavement. Don’t be afraid to show up at the company you want to work for. Nobody can sell yourself like you can. Even if the company isn’t advertising a position, they are almost always looking for great employees to hire. The information age has nearly eliminated the need for face-to-face contact, which is why it is so effective now. If you meet the people that you want to work for then you are demonstrating your commitment and confidence in yourself. The younger generation of job seekers have forgotten the importance of personal relationships in business, leaving many talented people wondering why they aren’t being hired. Get out there and show that there is a person behind the resume.

1. Ask for the job you want. If you bring quality skills and/or experience to the table, let it be known. If the open position won’t challenge you enough, find ways to add responsibility. Tell interviewers that you want to make a difference at their company. Confidence in one’s ability is key to landing great jobs. If the decision maker can see that you have a lot to offer and are willing to work harder than current employees, there is no decision; you are hired!

In my previous article, I raised the issue that proper keyword research must take into account countries. The reason for that was that the demand for keywords can vary between countries. I gave examples of that fact using the Overture keyword tool.

To support my argument (that we need to be aware of countries when doing keyword research), I gave 2 reasons:

1. it will help us determine which countr(y/ies) to target, and

2. it will help us know what countr(y/ies) our visitors are most likely to come from.

I would like, in this article, to expand on these 2 reasons. I would also like to add further reasons why any keyword research must be country based.

1. When doing keyword research, we need to understand the limitations of our research. This is necessary in order to remove any assumptions we make about our findings. For example, if you find that the demand for a keyword is very high in the US, you cannot assume that the demand for that same keyword will also be vey high in other countries. You will only know for sure how much demand there is worldwide by doing country specific keyword research. Such research can be done using a tool such as the Overture keyword tool,

Plants of all kinds (including trees), herbs and roots have been used for centuries to draw money to a person or bring prosperity to a home.

There are several ways to use a plant in this manner:

You can carry some of the substance on you.

This can be as easy as putting a tiny bit of the herb in a tiny plastic bag and put in your pocket. An easy way is to put a pinch of the herb into a locket.

Sew a sachet or pouch.

You can buy ready made sachets or pouches that you can use for this purpose, but you can also sew a small one using an appropriately colored material. Green and yellow are popular colors associated with prosperity and money one. These sachets are then tucked under the bed or somewhere in the home, worn on a string around the neck, put in a purse or wallet or concealed somewhere in the home. Some people simply fill a potpourri jar with the appropriate herbs and leave it in a prominent place in the house.
